The Scuba Diver course is actually a sub-course of the Open Water course.
This means that you only have to learn part of the theory, confined water sessions, and open water dives from the Open Water course.

Theory

You will get your digital manual in which you have to complete the first three theory modules.

Confined Water Session

You complete the first three confined water sessions of the Open Water course.

You learn the skills necessary to dive safely.
Resolving incidents, setting up equipment, and handling it underwater.
Open Water Dives

These are the first two dives of the Open Water course.

During these dives, you practice the skills learned in the confined water session and dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters.

What are the prerequisites to do the SSI Scuba Diver course?
The PADI Scuba Diver course and the SSI Scuba Diver course offer you the same worldwide recognized certification with the same attributions.
But there are differences between the training offered by Padi and the one offered by SSI that will interest you:

SSI has a more versatile and intuitive online study platform.

SSI has the manuals of all its courses in more than 40 languages.

With SSI you have access to the APP where you not only have your manuals. You also have information about centers, dives, and a log book. You will have everything at your fingertips and with easy access.
What is the difference between the PADI Scuba Diver course and the SSI Scuba Diver course?
No.
You have to fill in a medical questionnaire with questions about your health.
You only need a medical certificate if you answer "yes" to any of the questions in the questionnaire.

Do I need a medical certificate to take the course?
In order to access the course, you need to meet the following requirements:

Be 10 years old.

Know how to swim.

Medical questionnaire.
Your depth limit is up to 12 meters, and you can dive only with a Divemaster or instructor.
Once you have the SSI Scuba Diver certification, you can keep going and finish your SSI Open water Diver.
What can I do with the SSI Scuba Diver certification?

You can do all the theory part of the course wherever you want.
